1985 Executives

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". Nelson Mandela

The members of Ketasco’85 Year Group of this great institution are called Dzolali ’85. This is made up of former students who graduated from form five in 1985 or from the Sixth form in 1987. This is our web base meeting place, where we exchange views and flood back all those precious moments during our time at the famous Lokpodzi Varsity, which still stands as a beacon of opportunity to so many others.

Mission Statement

The Group upholds the ideals upon which Ketasco was founded, by fostering a bond between Dzolali ’85 and the School. We aim to sustain the interest of the year group in the School through the maintenance of facilities, develop and maintain channels of communication between the School and the year Group, make contributions to the School’s Development and Welfare Fund and promote the production and publication of books, articles, memoirs and journals of interest to the School and the Group.

Projects

Dzolali ’85 Emporium
We are grateful for the diversity of our backgrounds and hold precious the ideals and principles imparted to us. We know that our story is part of the larger Lokpodzi Varsity story; which make us indebted to those who lit the torch and blazed the path for us.

Dzolali '85 Emporium

In line with our mission statement, in 2010 to mark the celebration of the Silver Jubilee anniversary of our graduation in 1985, we came together to affirm the greatness of our union and the School, to give back to Lokpodzi some of what she gave to us, by supporting the construction of an Emporium, to serve as a perpetual monument and encourage the generations after us to greater achievements.

Our Pride

Our desire and pride to pursue this cause is based on a very simple premise, summed up in the old motto and adage of our dear school: Dzolali, ‘fly now’ – the innate ability to soar and ascend high like that symbolic eagle, farther than most people and reach for our simple dreams and aspirations to make a change for our posterity.

Finance for the Emporium project was mobilised from member contributions and support from various benevolent sponsors.
