The school is situated at Dzelukope, a few meters from the old Shell Service Station. It has spacious classrooms, excellent science laboratories housing the Keta Municipal Science Resource Centre and an attractive and serene atmosphere for learning.

In 1995, the General Arts programme was introduced with some selected options. In 1997, more options were introduced giving the General Arts students more room in which to operate. When Mr. D.K. Sedanu Kwawu, the 8th substantive headmaster was posted to the school, he added General Agriculture as the 7th programme. Names of students who score D7, E8 and F9 in three or more of the core and elective subjects are displayed on the school notice board with a warning note. Then after the third term examination ALL students who score D7, E8 and F9 in three or more subjects are made to repeat the class.
